Information collected automatically
Hosting and security systems may receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested page, referring page, date and time, and diagnostic logs. The attribution system may record an opaque session ID, campaign parameters, source page, placement, provider selected, and click time.
Information you provide
If you email or contact us, we may receive the information you choose to provide. Educational tools do not ask for an SSN, date of birth, income, bank credentials, or StudentAid.gov login.
Provider handoffs
When you choose to visit a provider, College Loan Finder may create an internal click ID and may pass that ID through a partner-approved attribution parameter. A provider may later return limited status information such as application started, approved, or funded, plus compensation information. College Loan Finder should not receive sensitive underwriting data through this process.
Sharing
Information may be shared with service providers that host, secure, analyze, or maintain the service; when required by law; to protect rights and safety; or in a business transaction. Personal application data is transferred to a provider only through an authorized flow with the relevant notice and consent.
Retention and choices
