Why we publish

College Loan Finder helps families calculate the smallest responsible college funding gap, understand borrowing consequences, compare public product terms, and reach authorized providers without surrendering sensitive financial information to an educational tool.

Federal aid first

Private-loan content must place grants, scholarships, savings, affordable current resources, institutional aid, and eligible federal loans before private financing. Refinancing content must explain that replacing federal loans with private debt removes federal benefits and protections.

Source hierarchy

Federal claims begin with Federal Student Aid, the Department of Education, CFPB, statutes, regulations, and other primary government material. Product claims begin with official lender disclosures, product pages, help centers, and program guides. Competitor or publisher pages may inform research questions but do not replace a primary source.

Originality and limitations

We write original analysis and show consequential limitations. College Scorecard measures use different cohorts and time windows and do not predict one student’s outcome. Calculator results are illustrations based on user-entered assumptions, not advice or offers.

Commercial separation

A partner cannot buy a rating, default position, “best” badge, or exclusion of a relevant nonpartner. Sponsored placements, if introduced, will be separate from editorial comparisons and clearly labeled.

Authorship and review

Current guides are published by the CampusWorth Editorial Team and supported by visible sources. We do not invent individual credentials or imply professional review that did not occur. Future named authors and qualified reviewers will receive transparent bios and responsibility for defined content areas.
